While it can be an emotional experience, it may be time to discard some of these items, perhaps doing a compromise of keeping some things that will fit nicely in your new, smaller home while ridding yourself of other items.

Make sure you tally your total! The staff was very nice, friendly, interactive, and helpful. Staging was great, organized, priced. The only issue I have is what I was charged when checking out. At first I was told $191 and change. I turned to my husband and asked what did we buy? The gentleman went over our purchase, realizing he was overcharging for the curtains. My new total was $114 and change. Our friends check out, we all leave. On the way home we're going over what we purchased only to find we were still overcharged. I bought 2 sets of curtain panels at $30 each - $60 total, $14 outdoor metal table, $8 wood ball decor, $4 rope, all totaling $86 less tax. I can understand making a few dollars mistake, but not over $20. Very disappointed and will scrutinize purchase totals going forward! Another customer had the same complaint being overcharged. kenkingery19 September 2024My wife and I recently hired Dave Coughlin's company, Professional Estate Sales, to help us sell and eclectic mix of art, record albums, books, CDs, jewelry and a smorgasbord of other items. We had no idea what the value of these items would be. Dave and his team (part family and part employees) tackled our project like we were a Fortune 500 company. Everything was professionally managed from start to finish and I trust Dave and his people 100%. In fact, they kep finding very valuable (and personal) items buried in various boxes and asking us if we did, in fact, want to sell this or that item. That is how honest and dependable they are. Our sale lasted 3 days and we cleaned out about 90% of what was up for sale. Our main objective was to unburden ourselves from lots of old stuff in storage and all the momey we received was icing on the cake! I had a very quick closing in this very busy real estate market and I had to sell everything! Several estate sale companies turned me down saying they simply could not get it done that quickly. We were a little concerned that not much was done before the actual week of the sale, but Jonathan assured us that everything needed to be staged, photographed and posted to the website the week of the sale, and not sooner. He was right. When the week of the sale came, his crew spent two days at our house, rearranged the furniture for the sale, staged and photographed everything and we were ready. On the first day of the sale, the line was 50 people+ deep and cars lined our street. Same with day two and three. Jonathan communicated with us whenever there was a question about an item or if we would accept an unusual offer. His staff (Kim & Kim) were professional, prepared and very nice to work with. We wound up netting three times what we thought we were going to get. Jonathan sold certain items for more than we paid. After the sale was over, there were some items that went unsold. Jonathan contracted with a third party to pick up anything we didn't want, at no charge. Jonathan is a busy guy with a lot going on. After the sale was over, there were some items that went unsold. Jonathan contracted with a third party to pick up anything we didn't want, at no charge. Jonathan is a busy guy with a lot going on. Jonathan and Professional Estate Sales did not disappoint! In fact, they exceeded our expectations in every way. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, experienced, personable, skilled, professionl and effective are just a few of the words I would use to describe Jonathan and his team based on our experience. 50 years worth of stuff is a lot to sort through, stage, research and price and they did it all beautifully. Our things were merchandised in such a way that they appealed to the buyer's eye and the integrity of the pieces - from large to small - was showcased. We were blown away at the total revenue that the estate sale brought in. Things were priced fairly and people responded by buying.
